Spain national team coach Fernando Hierro stressed his future doesn’t preoccupy him. Hierro said it after the team had suffered a defeat from Russia in the World Cup 1/8 finals and left the tournament.

“My future? It’s something that interests me least of all. I am preoccupied for the boys and our fans who are very sad. We feel empathy towards people who have stood with us. As a coach, I am proud of having headed such a group as this one”, - said Hierro.

Hierro took over at the national team one day before the mundial start replacing sacked Julen Lopetegui.
